This year marks the 130th birthday of the iconic Tiffany Setting diamond engagement ring.
Though the design is now much copied, Tiffany & Co founder Charles Lewis Tiffany was the first to design a ring that would hold the diamond solitaire high above the band on six prongs so that the light would pass through it. In laymen’s terms: it’s super sparkly.
