Best Hotel Swimming Pools in Hong Kong

Staying in Hong Kong over the summer? You’re going to need a swimming pool. Here are my favourite hotel pools in HK:

The Peninsula

The marble columns and water fountains are fabulously over the top while the steamer chairs and views of Victoria Harbour make you feel as if you’re gliding along on a luxury liner as you swim laps.

The Ritz-Carlton

Yes it’s the world’s highest hotel pool on the 118th floor but it’s also serene and sophisticated with clever LED screens depicting clouds on the ceiling. Lovely by day, it really comes into its own at night when the lights of Hong Kong Island sparkle as a back drop.

The Four Seasons

The location, an outdoor terrace with a unique view of the harbour, is a showstopper and the scene is altogether ritzy. You could while away hours here.

Grand Hyatt

Generously proportioned so you can swim some decent lengths but still interestingly shaped. Feels like you’re in a resort until you glimpse up at the surrounding skyscrapers which is a nice combination.

Island Shangri La

Nestled in Pacific Place, this is a hidden little oasis among the high rises. A good place to escape.
